Internationally renowned researcher Patrick Valduriez, currently Chief Scientific Officer of LeanXcale, has been named a Fellow of the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (AAIA) for his contributions in data science, now at the heart of data-centric AI.
AAIA is a prestigious academic, non-profit and non-governmental organization of the Asia-Pacific region that comprises more than 1,500 academicians worldwide.
The main mission of AAIA is to enhance the development and application of artificial intelligence by scientists around the world through academic research, academic exchanges, science education, science exhibitions, and more.
Patrick joins other world-class researchers as an AAIA Fellow, and adds this achievement to his impressive career. In addition to being LeanXcale CSO, Patrick is Director Emeritus of Research at Inria (National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology in France) and Director of the Inria-Brazil international laboratory. He has been the recipient of the 1993 IBM Scientific Prize for Informatics in France, the 2014 Inria-French Academy of Sciences Innovation Award and the Best Paper Award at VLDB 2000. He is an ACM Fellow and a Trustee Emeritus of the VLDB Endowment.
