JUNE 2 – 17:00 CET
Find out what NewSQL databases are and how they will change the finance and insurance industries from Patrick Valduriez, one of the world’s leading database experts; Ricardo Jiménez, former researcher and currently CEO of LeanXcale; and Juan Mahíllo, telecommunications engineer and CRO at LeanXcale.
Introduction
NewSQL databases are the future of Big Data, as they bring together the best of SQL and NoSQL.
There is no doubt that they will have a huge impact on every data-intensive industry, and banking and insurance will be no exception.
What are the innovations behind NewSQL databases? How will this new technology change the data architecture of banking and insurance companies? What has been the outcome when NewSQL has already been applied to the industry?
In this webinar we will answer these questions!
Agenda
What is NewSQL?
We will talk about main trends in Distributed databases, SQL and ACID transactions, NoSQL and relaxed consistency, and NewSQL and HTAP.
How to accelerate data pipelines with NewSQL?
We will show how a NewSQL database can be used to greatly accelerate data pipelines, simplify data architecture and reduce TCO.
CESCE success story
We will explain how CESCE, world’s 4th largest credit and surety company, has accelerated its data processing from two months to less than six hours using NewSQL.
Demo: LeanXcale in data pipelines acceleration
We will see a real example of how data pipelines can accelerate using this type of database: in this demo LeanXcale database ingests from a dataset of loans at a pace of 300k/s records using a couple of commodity servers with four cores and 16GB of memory.
